The 2nd XI have started their season strongly, with victories over Wath CC and Rockingham Colliery CC after an opening day defeat to Houghton Main. The team currently sit in joint third position in the SYCPL Championship table on 26 points.
Adam Burkinshaw and Ed McKenna have been the key performers with the bat so far this season, ably supported by George Bartlett. Whilst Lewis Hogg, Ben Fielding and Tom Eldred have also made key contributions with the ball in all three games so far. Fielding bringing up the teams first 5 wicket haul of the season in the victory over Rockingham.
The team are improving week on week and travel to early league leaders Whiston Parish Church in their next fixture on May 8th.
