Senior Teams

Sheffield Collegiate has a wide range of senior teams including 5 Saturday League sides, a Sunday League side and a midweek team.

Our 1st XI play in the Yorkshire South Premier League (YSPL). 2016 saw the first year of the new ECB premier league in South Yorkshire and after a good season our 1st XI finished in a very respectable 5th place. We also made it through to round 3 of the ECB National Knockout Competition before we were beaten by a very strong Harrogate team. It was in the ECB National Club T20 where we enjoyed our best run however reaching the last 16 of the competition, after winning the YSPL T20 stage to move onto the National rounds.

Our 2nd XI play in the South Yorkshire League Championship, just one league below our first team. After two promotions in three years 2016 was a year to make sure we stayed in the Championship in our first season at that level for a few years. This was a challenge we were able to meet and hopefully this year we can challenge the teams in the top half of the division.

Our 3rd XI play in the South Yorkshire League as well, and after a restructure at the end of 2016 we have ended up in division 4. Our aim in 2017 and beyond is to close the gap between our second and third teams by achieving promotion.

Our 4th and 5th XI both play in the Yorkshire and Derbyshire League and are great places for our young players to develop as they take the first steps into adult cricket. Our Sunday side play in the Barnsley league and is also a developmental team, we won promotion to division 2 in 2016.

Our midweek team enjoyed another successful season in 2016 winning the Midweek Alliance League Trophy for the 2nd time in three seasons.
