Champs Junior Player of the Month Winners May - Joe Root (u/15) June - Jonny Udal (u/11) Winner for July announced on Friday, August 5th.Last Friday saw the presentation of the first two Champs Junior Player of the Month awards. Players were nominated by their respective coach and managers with the final decision made by Riaz Richards, the head coach of the Michael Vaughan Cricket Academy.

The winner for May was u/15 captain Joe Root who not only scored heavily for his team but also when playing for the u/17's. He led by example both on and off the field showing a fantastic desire to improve.

June saw u/11 Jonny Udal winning the award. Jonny's exuberance and unmatched enthusiasm for the game was matched by his quality performances on the pitch be it batting, bowling or keeping wicket.

These two young cricketers are fine examples of the type of players the Academy wishes to produce. They have a bright future in the game.
