Rossington arrived at Abbeydale feeling they had a good chance of rolling us over and overtaking us at the top of the league. Unfortunately for them they found us on top of our game and we ran out resounding victors...We won the toss and inserted them and Tony Miller with an excellent opening burst (3 for 28) saw them reach the halfway stage at 40 odd for 4. Their lower order batsmen pulled thing round slightly and we eventually bowled them out for 143 with an over to spare. Ibbo picked up 3 wickets while Hespey manged 4 - Back to the good old days Hespey was heard to say.

After another average tea, a solid start by Foulksey and Wrighty set us on our way. I(Stewie) then came in and put on about 100 with Rooty (28*)before being triggered for 49. This let Colgate in who proceeded to run himslef out without troubling the scorers.

Richard Tasker came in at 6 (after eventually finding his teddy bears which he'd earlier thrown out of his cot) and smashed 33 off only 14 balls to see us home to victory.

The only down side was the applauding of my 50 (instigated by Tony Miller) while I was on 49. I didn't score another run and was left stranded. You'll have to be careful Tony as Sealy's mob might not appreciate your humour next week!!
