No book to use for the report so a little shorter than usual. A much better day and a pretty fine looking pitch at Abbeydale. A complete contrast to Treeton yesterday. Shows what a difference covers can make. We lost the toss and fielded. To everyone's surprise Angry opened the bowling and managed a couple of wickets. A scoring rate of marginally over 2 was never enough for this wicket. Actually we all bowled pretty well and apart from the Aussie pro Hallam had difficulties getting the ball away. Everyone managed a wicket or two.

Simmo damaged a leg early but this only meant he had to score in boundaries, so he did. He got 60-70 in short time while Foulksie carried his bat for 15* or so.

Chardonnay moment. You have to understand this is from a bowler's perspective: Simmo A's off stump cart-wheeling to a no shot in the first over.
