Player availability & training!
After a long bank holiday weekend of cricket on all 3 days with several teams playing everyday, it has come to the attention of selection committee the difficulty in actually finding enough to fill every team!
The player data base suggests we should have too many players to fit in the teams, but this has been proven not to be the case.
It has been noted exams are approaching fast for several of the younger members, but it is still possible to play cricket over the weekend if revision is planned ahead and the week used carefully!
TRAINING - senior practice sessions are on a Thursday night from 6pm to 8pm (some people are around from 5.30pm). ALL PLAYERS hoping to play mens cricket have to attend training. It is only 2 hours a week, and if your time is planned correctly this should not prove a problem to anyone. If anyone does have a valid reason for not being able to attend nets practice please contact any of Andy Simpson, Josh Varley, Tom Lister or your captain (all phone numbers in hand book).
Everyone needs to practice, especially after the 1st weekend of full cricket. It has been hard for all teams!
Looking forward to seeing EVERYONE at training on Thursday, and team selection being more difficult due to too many players, rather than lack of players!!
Andy Simpson, Josh Varley, Tom Lister.
