The 2011 SCCC Annual Club Dinner Dance is at Baldwin's Omega on Friday 14th October 2011 7.15pm for 7.45pm. Carriages late.

Dinner & Disco is £30.00 per person and good value as it's always a great evening at Baldwin's.

The presentation of cricket awards for the senior teams will follow dinner.

Michael Vaughan OBE will be officially opening our new Practice Nets on Friday 24th June 2011 at 6pm at the start of the Academy Session ( weather permitting). Everybody welcome - BBQ and Bar.

Please note that our Home fixture v Whiston on Sunday 19th June has been re-arranged to Wednesday 29th June as we have several players away that weekend. Please confirm your availability for the 29th by text / email as usual - thank you.

Ladies and gentlemen, do you spend ages ringing and texting round trying to organise your chosen 11 for a fixture, only to have to cope with cry-offs, grandma's birthdays and numerous other unavailabilty excuses. Let me introduce you to TEAMER, an on-line simple to use administration tool that does the work for you.

A bowling machine... A great invention, capable of putting the ball on the same spot as consistently as His Lordship and amazingly even quicker than him! With the fantastic new nets providing a top class surface for practicing on a bowling machine would push our training onto the next level.

Throwdowns can only get us so far before peoples shoulders give way. According to my calculations we would need £2125 in order to have a top BOLA bowling machine 24 balls and a powerpack that can be connected to the mains. As a result I think fundraising may be in order to make this pipe dream a reality!

Under 15 Blue have a match this Sunday v Wickesley - meet at Abbeydale at 9.15 for a 10am start. Will all players please confirm their attendence by replying to the automated text/email system asap. Let's continue our good form into the next phase of matches.

Congratulations to the Under 15 Blue squad who are developing into a side with a great team spirit and are clearly enjoying their cricket, which was shown with a great win last Monday evening against Hallam ! We have rearranged our fixtures against Hallam (Away) on Sunday 29th May (10am) and Eckington (Away) on Monday 30th May (time TBC). Next game v Hollinsend at Abbeydale (10am - meet at 9.15am) - we need everyone to play as we only have 11 fit players (get well soon Harry Carter). See you at nets on Tuesday.

We attempted to make contact with Hallam on numerous occasions from 7.30am this morning to avoid travelling, but no-one responded. Sorry but this was out of our hands, we have had 'words'. Nets Tuesday evening - 6pm - see you there>

As a fund raising initiative we are organising a sale of second hand cricket clothing, equipment & other associated items e.g. books, DVDs on FRIDAY 13th May at Abbeydale Sports Club - PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DAY.

We would therefore be grateful for anything along these lines (adult, youth & child sizes).
