This coming Sunday morning at 10am, Martin Maddocks will need help to remove the nets and store all the other cricket related equipment for next season. The more people able to come along and help the quicker it will all get done.

Please come along and assist if possible.

The 2010 SCCC Annual Club Dinner Dance is at Baldwins on Friday 8th October 2010 7.15pm for 7.45pm. Carriages late.

Dinner & Disco is £30.00 per person and good value as it's always a great evening at Baldwins.

The presentation of cricket awards for the senior teams will follow dinner.

We are looking to put together a sub-committee working on behalf of all the club to deal solely with fund raising & social events. This stream of income is crucial to the club’s future development and it is felt shared responsibility and workload within a sub-committee will help generate such income.

The Root family are holding a party to celebrate Billy’s 18th birthday at Abbeydale on Saturday 7th August 2010 and all Collegiate players are invited.

A hog roast is organised, Garse is DJ for the evening and it would be great to see you if you are free.

Sheffield Collegiate Cricket Club are delighted to announce that we have been awarded grant funding of £ 31,072 from the ECB to construct a 4 Bay Non-Turf Net Practice facility at Abbeydale Park. This funding is a 75% contribution of the total cost of £ 41,430 for the facility.

The Nets will be constructed by Pinnacle Sport & Play Limited and talks are currently taking place to determine a suitable start time but they will be in place for the start of the 2011 season.

Having just lost by a wicket the day before, with a fresh and younger looking team on the sheet, the 3rd’s got to have a rare match on the main square at Abbeydale. A choice of wickets from Crofty senior but a batting track seemed fairer for a cup match. The opposite was Oughtibridge, who had been relegated last too, but with a more senior looking side than ourselves! Toss won by them (good job, Simmo didn’t know what to do 1st), and they decided to have a bat.

With players back for the higher teams, a slightly more senior looking 3rd team headed off to Bradford, on a miserable looking day, where has the sun gone from last week?! On a greenish deck, Bradford won the toss and we were asked to bat 1st again.

Tonight's practice has been cancelled due to wet weather.

Opening day of the season, and a home game to start...at HSBC ground, due to problems with outfield on the top pitch. Sun on the first weekend, and a fairly decent deck to play on, a new look and rather youthful team...all ready to go. Toss won, on advice of the senior pro, Mr Davey, batting 1st.
