Mansfield Massive

An eventful week of Mansfield league ups and downs finally ended playing a home fixture up at HSBC, but on the artificial wicket as no grass pitches available. A full team was only confirmed on Sunday morning after some miscommunication higher up. The opposition were Coal Aston who the previous week had scored 300+....in a hurricane like wind, toss lost and asked to field!

Following the AGM this week A variety of information on the coming season will start to appear here.

Very shortly important stuff about Membership and Subscriptions for 2013 will be up. This requires prompt action by ALL playing members.

After a long bank holiday weekend of cricket on all 3 days with several teams playing everyday, it has come to the attention of selection committee the difficulty in actually finding enough to fill every team!

The player data base suggests we should have too many players to fit in the teams, but this has been proven not to be the case.

It has been noted exams are approaching fast for several of the younger members, but it is still possible to play cricket over the weekend if revision is planned ahead and the week used carefully!

The 2011 SCCC Annual Club Dinner Dance is at Baldwin's Omega on Friday 14th October 2011 7.15pm for 7.45pm. Carriages late.

Dinner & Disco is £30.00 per person and good value as it's always a great evening at Baldwin's.

The presentation of cricket awards for the senior teams will follow dinner.
