Bakewell won yesterday and through bowling out the opposition gained 25 points, putting them on 303 points to our 300. Consequently they are promoted and we aren't. This is a shame for us but well done Bakewell and congratulations. They are a good side and should do just fine in the next division. Meanwhile we had a very good season after a run of poor ones and there is much to be optimistic about for the future. I am sure we can get promoted up to where we belong in the next few seasons.

Be fair .....that headline is almost as good as the result. Totley 210 ao / 4ths 211 for 4
Away again in the third division on a ground that has seen better days. Another appalling track...I'll stop there.

While the returning Stale Staley sprayed it, Rookey kept hitting the stumps. Varls and Stevo bowled tidy spells but the catching was very poor allowing Imran to make 108* (next highest score 14).
Leather hunting in the heat is never a good preparation for a big run chase.
Bish and Varls made it look easy. Beautifully controlled, risk free and four an over. A century plus stand. Magnificent. Stales and Rookey kept up the momentum and Wellers finished it off.
A very impressive 7 wicket victory. Well played lads.
