At the recent South Yorkshire League Annual Dinner & Presentation Night, 3XI Captain Andy Simpson was presented with the Division 4 title.
The following players also won individual awards.
Andy Simpson - Division 4 Batting Award
Ben Fielding - Division 4 Junior Bowling Award. (He should also have won the senior award but apparently can’t win both...)
Elliot Winter - Division 4 Junior Batting Award
Jonny Udall - Junior Wicket Keeper award for all the Divisions
Congratulations to all the award winners and the team for winning the title!

Snoopy shows us how it’s done.
A very quick run down of events, Pete Lister wins toss and elects to bat much to Ben’s disbelief. Not having the score book with me I am not sure of the totals apart from Snoops and Rob Priestley were together on 81 for 7.
By the time Snoops was out for an excellent 91 the they had put on 81 with the score on 162, with rob getting a nice 40ish. We finish on a respectable 184.
On to the fielding side of things, we looked at one stage to be heading for a “Langdale” moment with Prash taking the first 6 wickets but that was to be that with Ian Davey chipping in with a wicket taking middle stump (well he had to bowl them out as nobody had told him about our catching!!)

Thanks for to generosity of both anonymous benefactors and our Vice Presidents we have been able to place an order for a BOLA Professional bowling machine for use in coaching sessions in the new nets.
A huge vote of thanks to all who have contributed to this valuable piece of equipment.

It should be with us in around two weeks.

I thought I would get this on here asap before we start getting grief from anyone!
In a nutshell Langers again helped the fives to 25 valuable points, this time with the bat. On a very tricky pitch he managed a fantastic 100 not out off only 93 balls. He then took a quick 3 fer before he jets off to Portugal for the rest of the season to have a well earned rest!!!!!
