Cricket Shop

Those of you at the AGM in December 2006 will appreciate the club needs new funds. You can help by using the Sheffield Collegiate Cricket Shop that I have just set up in association with Amazon. A proportion of all sales (up to 7.5%) will be paid to club funds by Amazon. We have raised £600 already by this route. Try it!

How does it work? The links from the site will open up our cricket shop. That site is run by Amazon on our behalf. I have a certain amount of control over appearance and content. From that site you can browse, search, add items to your shopping cart, or just go straight to Amazon from the shop. Either way, when you buy stuff from Amazon, the club gets a percentage. The window for our percentage lasts 24 hours. When you shop again, make sure you start again from our shop site at the Sheffield Collegiate Cricket Shop.

Impending Retirement

As many of you are aware the recent onset of a serious knee injury and medical opinion has convinced me that I now need to marry my long term partner who quite coincidentally is a physiotherapist. In view of this I am having an informal drink Saturday evening/Sunday morning 16/17 Sept starting at about 6pm in Abbeydale bar and moving on elsewhere. All are invited except Riaz of course. Might see you there

Help needed!

We've all used them, complained about them and at times really needed them. Now we need to take them down. I'm talking about the nets.

Mad Dogs is planning on putting them to bed for the winter next Sunday - 17th Spetember. He'll be at Abbeydale at 9.15am and needs as many people as possible to give him a hand. I know it's early and is a pain in the proverbial but it's only fair that we share the job.

Last year it was just the two of us and took for ages but will it will be done and dusted in an hour with enough help. So please try to do your bit.
