Budding Yuvraj in Under 9 Blue Team

Congratulations must go to Tom Codling who achieved the remarkable feat of hitting six 6 ‘s in one over playing for the Under 9 Blue team on Sunday 13th June at Rotherham.

Collegiate had kept Whiston to 231 in the 8 overs and were already in a good position when Tom and Oliver Tyas went in to bat as the last pair. Tom smashed everyball he faced in the first over for six. Oliver then pushed the first ball of the next over for a single and Tom picked up where he left off and actually achieved another milestone as he recorded a personal 50 off just 11 balls faced as Collegiate posted a mammoth 330.

Well done Tom and well done to the team for winning four of the first five matches this season

Amateur cricketer emulates Sir Garfield Sobers with six sixes
Abhijit Kale, a weekend league cricketer in Kent, has repeated the feat of West Indies legend Sir Garfield Sobers by hitting six sixes in an over.

I’m seriously worried about having a bowl this Saturday!

    Well done boys.

The Green team lost all three games yesterday but improved each game and played with an excellent team spirit. They looked the part in shirts and caps and were a credit to the club.

There is plenty of talent in the team and a collective enthusiasm which is wonderful to witness. Their behaviour in defeat was an example to all. Well done boys.

Congratulations also to Frecheville CC on their excellent organisation.

Excellent performance things certainly look good in the junior section; the club has some talent coming through.

When I think of six 6’s I think of Sir Garfield Sobers!!! must be in a time block.

    Well done again.
